Video Demonstration
Signing Up for Dubb
Before using Dubb with Follow Up Boss, be sure to sign up for an account on Dubb. You can accomplish this by clicking here.
Setting Up the Integration
To complete the integration setup and ensure full functionality, you need to accomplish two separate connections.
1. Dubb Chrome Extension
Once you’ve registered for a Dubb account, navigate to this link to install the Dubb Chrome extension. When you are on the download page, click Add to Chrome and then Add extension to proceed.
Expect a pop-up window to appear asking for permission to access your camera and microphone. Click Allow to grant Dubb access to these features.
To make it easier to access the Dubb extension, click the puzzle icon at the upper right corner of your Chrome browser, and then click the pin icon next to Dubb.
Next, log in to your Dubb account through the extension by clicking on the log-in hyperlink. This will redirect you to the Dubb login page where you will need to enter the login credentials that you created during the signup process.
Once you’re logged in, you should be redirected to your Dubb dashboard.
The Chrome extension should automatically recognize that you are signed in.
You can now easily access your Dubb video library directly from the Follow Up Boss email or text composition interface. Simply look for the Dubb icon within the interface, and your video library should be readily available for use.
2. API
Completing this next step is crucial, as it keeps your contacts in sync and allows the activity on your Dubb videos to be tracked and recorded on your lead profiles in Follow Up Boss.
First, sign in to Dubb. Then click on your profile photo at the top right, and select Team. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a dropdown—click Marketplace.
Once you’re on the Marketplace page, look for Follow Up Boss. Click on the Install button next to Follow Up Boss. A pop-up window that looks like this will appear:
Here, you will need to input an API key from Follow Up Boss. To obtain this, go to Follow Up Boss and navigate to the Admin section. Under Integrations, select API Keys & Lead Email. Click on Create API Key.
Lastly, copy and paste your unique API key into the text field on Dubb and then click Submit.
How the Integration Works
Adding Videos
To access Dubb directly from the Follow Up Boss platform, navigate to either the email or text composition interface. A Dubb icon should be present within each of these tools.
Inserting Pre-Existing Videos
Clicking on the Dubb icon would instantly give you access to your Dubb library of pre-recorded videos, which can be inserted into the body of your message by clicking on its thumbnail and selecting Insert Video.
You may also choose to upload an existing video from your computer’s local file library by clicking on the Upload tab. Then simply drag and drop or click the box to select the video you want to upload.
Another option is to share YouTube videos. To do this, click on the YouTube tab, paste the URL of the video into the text field, and click Submit.
Creating New Videos
If you wish to record a new video, click on the Dubb icon.
One of the options is screen recording. You can choose between recording a specific Chrome tab, the whole Chrome window, or your entire screen. Once you’ve decided on which to record, click on Share to start recording.
There’s also the Webcam option, which lets you select which camera and microphone you want to use. You may also choose from multiple video resolutions. Right below your webcam feed, you’ll see options to mirror your video, blur the background, use a virtual background, and display Dubb’s built-in teleprompter.
Real-Time Activity Tracking
Dubb’s activity reporting provides you with access to every piece of engagement and action received by your videos from your contacts. Some of these activities include:
Video views
Page views
Video replies
Email clicks
Email opens
Form submissions
Call-to-action clicks
Emoji reactions
By completing the API key process outlined earlier, you can ensure that all analytics are properly documented through logs that are accessible from each lead profile on your Follow Up Boss account. This enables you to track and monitor the performance of your leads more effectively.
