Step 1: Create an SMS Snippet in GoHighLevel
Go to Marketing
Click Snippets
Select Text (SMS) Snippet
Create a new snippet
Add:
A name
Your text message content
This is where your video link and preview will be added.
Step 2: Open the Dubb Chrome Extension
Make sure you have the Dubb Chrome Extension installed.
Click the Dubb extension in your browser
Access your video library
Select the video you want to send
Step 3: Optimize the Video for GoHighLevel
Before copying your link:
Enable Optimize for GoHighLevel
This ensures:
The video link is trackable
It works properly across all GHL versions
This step is required regardless of which version of GoHighLevel you are using.
Step 4: Copy the Video Link and Download a Preview
From the Dubb extension:
Copy the short URL
Download a preview asset:
GIF preview, or
Still image thumbnail
Note:
If the GIF is too large to upload in GHL, use the still image instead.
Step 5: Add the Video to Your SMS Message
In your SMS snippet:
Paste the short URL into the message body
Add a short sentence encouraging the recipient to watch the video
Example:
“Hey {{contact.first_name}}, I made this quick video for you: [link]”
Step 6: Attach the Preview Image or GIF
Click Add Attachment
Upload the GIF or still image you downloaded
This gives your message a visual preview, which can improve click-through rates.
Step 7: Save and Send
Once complete:
Save your snippet
Use it in your campaigns or individual contact messages
Your message will now include:
A trackable Dubb video link
A visual preview attachment
