Here's how you can send and track Dubb video messages through nearly any email tool like Mailchimp, Keap, any real estate, CRM, literally almost any email tool out there.

  1. Take the contacts from your favorite email tool. Export your contacts from your Mailchimp, Keap, HubSpot, or any other CRMs. You're going to export all the contacts you want to track and then you're going to add them to Dubb. This is required so that Dubb can identify who the video is being sent to and who it's actually watching, who is watching the video. In Dubb, go to contacts, click the drop-down, and click import contacts. Then, you will choose the CSV file you just exported from your CRM. Then you're going to add a tag to this contact. It's critical that you add a tag to keep this contact organized in your CRM. And then, you're going to be able to match these columns from your CSV. You only need first name, last name, and email. And make sure if you're tracking SMS messages, mobile matches to mobile you can exclude any other additional titles that aren't needed inside of Dubb.

  2. Go to your favorite email tool click your Dubb Chrome Extension, click the share option, it is going to be automatically optimized for your favorite email tool. Now depending on the interface of your email tool, you may be able to just press the copy for email button and paste it directly into the body of your email client just like I'm doing here inside of Outlook. This is one option.

Another option is instead of the HTML, you can download the gif. And this is for most email clients that don't allow you to directly copy and paste HTML. For example, Mailchimp will actually remove the HTML you place into your emails. Instead of clicking the share dropdown, you're going to download the GIF. The GIF is going to allow you to attach the preview into your email. Upload the image in your email client. And then once the image is uploaded to your email client, then attach the Dubb video link to the image so you see where it says edit hyperlink.

  3. Last step, you're going to go to your email client. It's automatically optimized for your email client. And now you're going to copy the URL. Just copy the URL. And when we paste this as the hyperlink, you're going to see that it's automatically optimized for that email system.

Every email system is going to have its own unique email token and this is how we're able to identify those viewers. Too techy for most ofyou. So don't worry about that part. Just know that when you want to add a trackable video to any email system, that is exactly how it's done. It'll either allow you to copy and paste just like this copy and paste.

For Mailchimp, HubSpot, or some other email builder software, you'll have to first attach the image and then attach the link from your video, which would be automatically optimized if you're in the platform that you're recording in. Instead of adding a video block, add an image block which is the downloaded GIF from the system. Copy the video link and then hyperlink it to the GIF.

If your platform is not on the list of "Optimize For" reach out to our team so we can add it to the list.

When it comes to reporting, when you share a video through your favorite email client, you'll be able to come and filter specifically and see who watched that video, who clicked the button, and how much of the video they watch. All of this information is going to get tracked in real-time, and you can get notifications to your mobile or to your desktop as these people are watching and clicking the videos through your favorite email tool.
