Firstly, make sure you are on the latest version of the Chrome Browser.
Second, make sure you allowed access to your microphone from
Google Chrome.
To check this visit Settings > Advanced Settings > Content Settings >
Microphone
You can also go here: chrome://settings/content/camera
Make sure that the correct camera is selected.
Once that's selected, find the Dub website. It should already have
permissions and then, clear the data, and reset the permissions, or simply
delete the permissions.
Revisit the website and record a video. It will ask for permission to access your webcam and mic in the top left corner.
This is as long as the device itself, whether you're on Mac or PC, has given Chrome access to your webcam in the device settings.

Next is to make sure your Mac or PC operating system is properly connecting to your microphone.
Connecting Your Mic on a Mac
To change the input in your Mac visit System Preferences > Sound > Input.
Alternatively, you can click CMD SPACE and search for Sound.
On this page make sure you specify what your input should be. If you are using a Bluetooth or external mic you can specify this here.
Connecting Your Mic on a PC
On a PC follow these steps:
Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar
Select Open sound setting
Choose Sound control panel on the right
Select the Recording tab
Choose the microphone
