Troubleshooting Microphone and Camera Issues on Chrome
To ensure seamless recording on the Dubb website, follow these steps:
1. Update Chrome
Action: Ensure you’re using the latest version of Chrome.
Benefit: Updates may fix bugs and compatibility issues.
2. Check Microphone Permissions
Action: Go to
Settings>Advanced>Content Settings>Microphone, or visitchrome://settings/content/microphone.Benefit: Ensures Chrome has access to your microphone.
3. Verify Camera Permissions
Action: Go to
chrome://settings/content/camera, select the correct camera, and clear or reset permissions for the Dubb website.
Benefit: Ensures the correct camera and permissions are set.
4. Revisit Dubb Website
Action: Return to the Dubb website and try recording a video. Allow Chrome to access your webcam and mic when prompted.
Benefit: Ensures permissions are applied correctly.
5. Configure the Microphone on the Mac
Action: Go to
System Preferences>Sound>Input, or pressCMD + SPACEand search for "Sound". Select the correct input device.Benefit: Sets your preferred microphone as the input source.
6. Configure the Microphone on the PC
Action: Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select
Open sound settings, go toSound Control Panel, thenRecordingtab, and choose your microphone.Benefit: Ensures your PC is using the correct microphone.
