If you're experiencing issues with the Dubb desktop app, our support team may ask you to capture developer logs to help diagnose the problem. Follow the steps below to enable error logging and share the activity data with us.
Step 1: Open the Desktop App
Launch the Dubb desktop app on your computer.
Step 2: Open Preferences
Click the three-line menu (☰) located in the top right (Windows/PC) or top left (Mac) of the app. From the menu, navigate to Preferences.
Step 3: Enable Display Error Logs
Scroll down in Preferences until you see the option labeled "Display Error Logs". Toggle this on. The app will automatically restart.
Step 4: Access Recording Dev Tools
Once the app restarts, go back to the recording screen. Next to the Record button, you'll now see a new option: "Show Recording Dev Tools". This panel will be visible while you are actively recording.
Step 5: Capture the Logs
Press Record to start a session. The dev tools panel will display live activity as it happens. Use a separate screen recording tool or take a screenshot of the following tabs in the panel:
Console
Network
These are the two key views our team needs to investigate any issues.
Step 6: Share with Support
Send the recording or screenshots to our support team so we can review the logs and identify the root cause of your issue.
Enabling developer logs in the Dubb desktop app allows you to capture recording activity and troubleshoot issues more effectively.
For the best results:
Enable Display Error Logs
Open Show Recording Dev Tools
Capture the Console and Network activity while reproducing the issue
These logs help the support team diagnose desktop app problems faster.
