Step-by-Step Instructions to Configure Your Custom Domain

1. Choose Your Domain and Subdomain

  • Primary domain: Select the domain you want to use for your landing pages. This is usually your main business website domain, e.g., yourdomain.com.

  • Subdomain: Decide on a subdomain for your landing pages. A common choice is lp (short for landing page), making your full domain look like lp.yourdomain.com. You can pick any subdomain you prefer.

2. Enter Your Custom Domain in Dubb

  • In your Dubb Pro Plus account, navigate to the custom domain settings for landing pages.

  • Input your full subdomain URL (e.g., lp.yourdomain.com) in the URL input field.

  • Save your changes.

3. Configure Your DNS Settings at Your Domain Registrar

To connect your domain with Dubb, you’ll need to update your DNS records. This is done through the registrar where you purchased or manage your domain (such as Google Domains, GoDaddy, or Cloudflare).

Follow these general steps:

  • Log in to your domain registrar dashboard.

  • Select the domain you’re configuring.

  • Locate the DNS management or Manage Domain settings.

  • Add a CNAME record:

    • Name/Host: Enter your subdomain (e.g., lp).

    • Type: Select CNAME.

    • Value/Points to: Enter cname.dub.com.

    • TTL (Time to Live): Set this to 600 seconds (10 minutes) if available for fastest propagation.

Registrar-Specific Examples

  • GoDaddy:
Select CNAME record type. Set host to lp, value to cname.dub.com, and TTL to 600 seconds. Save changes.

  • Google Domains:
Under DNS settings, create a CNAME with subdomain lp, pointing to cname.dub.com. Set TTL to 600 seconds. Save.

  • Cloudflare:
Add a CNAME record with name lp, target cname.dub.com, and TTL 600 seconds. Save the record.

4. Wait for DNS Propagation

  • Domain propagation typically takes between 10 minutes and 1-2 business days.

  • When successful, you’ll see a green checkmark next to your custom domain in your Dubb dashboard, indicating the domain is properly configured.

5. Troubleshooting

  • If after 1-2 business days the green checkmark doesn’t appear:

    • Double-check your DNS entries for accuracy.

    • Ensure you created a CNAME record, not an A record or TXT record.

    • Contact Dubb support at support@dubb.com with screenshots of your DNS records and Dubb domain setup page.
